Summary (lots and lots of spoilers)
A family of four siblings try to hide their mothers death in order not to be separated. The family lives in a secluded house after running away from an abusive father. They meet a young girl named Allie who becomes romantically involved with the eldest son Jack.
The family avoids entering the town nearby in order to hide the fact that their mother has passed, the eldest is the only one to leave the house when necessary. The family arouses the suspicions of a local lawyer trying to buy him off when he tries to get the mothers signature on some legal documents.
The family seems content living away from society except for Jack's rendezvous with Allie...but not is all that it seems.

It is later revealed towards the end of the movie that Jacks family is not alive at all. The father arrives on the property one day after the mother passes away, the eldest tries to draw him away from his siblings by offering him money. The father in a fit of rage beats the eldest unconscious. The father then returns to the house and murders the other three siblings. The eldest upon discovering the bodies of his siblings locks his father in the room to die and then prepares to kill himself. In a psychotic break Jack begins to hear his siblings and discovers that they are not dead at all! Except of course they are... unfortunately the trauma of seeing his dead siblings was too much for him and he develops a personality disorder where he assumes his siblings personae when he is inside the house. He breaks all of the mirrors to avoid seeing that he really is alone and avoids leaving the house unless absolutely necessary.
One day, Jack, still believing his siblings are alive begins to suffer another psychotic break as one of his personalities (his brother) discovers that the father who was locked away has not yet died. Jacks other personalities send a message to Allie telling her what really happened inside their house and asking her to help Jack to survive.
Jack pushes her away when she comes to help him refusing to leave his fantasy world where his siblings are still alive. The girl is about to leave the house when she realizes that the lawyer has returned to the house to try and blackmail the family into giving him more money. Unfortunately for the lawyer he discovers the dead siblings bodies and accidentally comes across the father who rips his neck out. The girl trying to help the lawyer ends up locked in the room with the violent man. Allies pleads to Jack and all of his personalities to help her and, though he takes his sweet time, Jack finally comes to the girls rescue and kills his father for good with a shotgun.
The movie ends with the girl staying with Jack despite his psychological disorder and you can see that he still fantasizes about his siblings being alive.
Review:
I was pleasantly surprised with this movie the story line was excellent and had so many twists and turns I didn't know where I was going until we got there! I enjoy when a movie that appears to be about a haunting turns into a psychological thriller, it was smartly done and the acting accompanying the story line was superb. While this movie is not very scary it will have you sitting at the edge of your seat!
